A sister recently asked an honest question under Call4Wisdom episode “Monogamy Fails Female Sexuality”:

“What does one of the wives do if she has a higher libido than her sister wives? Does she suffer or get more time with the husband? And how do these types of families keep diseases at bay (STD’s, strep throat, etc.)?”

I love questions like this, because they give us space to teach and get clarity through the Word—not opinions.

So let’s break this down.

First, Torah covers the needs of multiple wives:

“If he take him another wife, her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.” (Exodus 21:10)

This shows Yah’s heart for justice. A husband can’t neglect one wife just because he has another. Sexual needs are real, and it’s the husband’s job to know his wives intimately—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too.

Some wives might have a higher sex drive. A wise man doesn’t dismiss that—he manages it. Like a shepherd who knows each sheep by name (John 10:14), he moves with care, discernment, and balance.

Now, on to the health concern.

Let’s talk about Hebrews 13:4:

“Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.”

This verse isn’t just a spiritual reminder—it’s a practical safeguard. Yah is literally showing us the boundary line where holiness protects and sin defiles.

When sex happens within the covenant of marriage, between one man and his wives, with faithfulness and obedience to all Yah’s laws—including all the laws of cleanliness, we stay protected.

“And the seed of copulation shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.” (Leviticus 15:16–18)

After sex, men are to wash up, all bedding should be changed, and body fluids should not be left to defile others. These laws protect the whole family from uncleanliness and disease.

Leviticus 15:16–18 combined with all the food laws plus the Menstruation laws for women help keep—the marriage bed remaining undefiled. That means there’s no spiritual filth, and no physical filth danger.

No STDs. No cross-contamination. No demonic soul ties. No sexual immorality judgment.

But when we step outside of that protection of Yah's Laws, we fall into whoremongering (fornication) and adultery (cheating, secret sex, random hookups), that’s when diseases multiply. Because Yah’s protection lifts when His boundaries are ignored.

So yes—Hebrews 13:4 is divine protection. The covenant creates a sealed-off environment of trust, loyalty, and purity. It's the world’s rebellion and hyper-promiscuity that have turned sex into a death trap.

We aren’t bringing that energy into polygyny. This is not “everyone sleep with everybody.” This is a holy household governed by one man, submitted wives, Torah rules, and mutual love.

Sisters, don’t let the modern mess make you miss out on ancient wisdom. When it’s Yah’s way, it works.

Shalom, and keep those thoughtful questions coming.
