“Doing good deeds for the Ungrateful is one of the Toughest things to do”

Shalom Family,
Yah doesn’t just demand that we do good to those who are grateful but also to those who are not grateful, If we desire to be like Him.
Matthew 5:43-48 CEB
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who harass you 45 so that you will be acting as children of your Father who is in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both the evil and the good and sends rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love only those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing? Don’t even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Therefore, just as your heavenly Father is complete (Perfect) in showing love to everyone, so also you must be complete (Perfect).”
It’s easy to grow tired of doing the right thing in life. Especially when the very folks you’re helping turn around and mistreat you. Or when it feels like your efforts are going unappreciated and unnoticed. But the Word of Yah encourages us to press on anyway, inspite of whatever we face. We continue, not for applause, not for recognition, but because we know that Yah is not mocked and He rewards every act of obedience done in His name. No matter if it is strife or ill willed treatment by outsiders, or the very people we help, we must continue to do good.

Let’s go to Galatians 6:6–10 (CSB):
6 ¶ Let the one who is taught the word share all his good things with the teacher.
7 Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap,
8 because the one who sows to his flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
9 Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
Now let me break that down real quick with a few key takeaways:
1. Always share good things with the ones who teach you The Word. They feed you spiritual food, so be a blessing back with the good you have.
2. Make every opportunity to do good in the lives of others, especially in the lives of those who follow Yeshua. Look, for ways, don’t wait. Especially toward the family in the faith, our brothers and sisters in Messiah.
3. Yah has a system: what you sow, you will reap. That’s not a cliché. That’s Torah. So, don't forget to respect Yah's divine principle that says that you will harvest every good or bad choice you plant in this world. To every action there is a reaction, what you cause to go around will only come back around.
4. And finally, don’t grow weary in doing the right thing. Being the bigger person. Helping the weak, lifting the broken hearted, tending to the Fatherless, the strangers and the widows. Just don’t confuse that with enabling laziness.
Now let’s be clear. Paul had strong words about laziness and idle folks who refuse to carry their own weight. Let’s look at what he wrote in 2 Thessalonians 3:6–15 (CSB):
6 ¶ Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from every brother or sister who is idle and does not live according to the tradition received from us.
7 For you yourselves know how you should imitate us: We were not idle among you;
8 we did not eat anyone’s food free of charge; instead, we labored and toiled, working night and day, so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
9 It is not that we don’t have the right to support, but we did it to make ourselves an example to you so that you would imitate us.
10 In fact, when we were with you, this is what we commanded you: “If anyone isn’t willing to work, he should not eat.”
11 For we hear that there are some among you who are idle. They are not busy but busybodies.
12 Now we command and exhort such people by the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and provide for themselves.
13 But as for you, brothers and sisters, do not grow weary in doing good.
14 ¶ If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take note of that person; don’t associate with him, so that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet don’t consider him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.
Listen, family, some people are simply not your assignment. So don’t let yourself, or leeching people, keep you from doing good in this world. Be reminded that there is yet a reward for every good deed you do in life, because Yah is a just Judge. Don’t let entitled, idle people drain you or distract you from your purpose and Yah’s mission. Paul said we are to “keep away” from those who live irresponsibly and refuse correction. We love them, yes. But we don’t empower disobedience.
So keep doing good, but do it with wisdom. Serve Yah. Serve His people. And don’t grow weary. Why? Because “we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.” Yah sees everything and He is a righteous Judge.
Stay faithful. Stay fruitful.
Blessings and Strength to You All,
