Prescriptive Monogamy: Unmasking the Demonic Chains on Male Sexuality

A Short Historical Reckoning for the Unchained Man

Let’s dismantle the lie from the outset: prescriptive monogamy, that suffocating mandate confining every man to a singular wife, is an alien concept to the Torah. It bears no mark of Yeshua. And it certainly isn’t supported by the fruitful lives of our forefathers like Abraham, Jacob and David.

No, this restrictive ideology is a direct descendant of doctrines of demons. Just as Paul predicted in 1 Timothy 4:1-3, It's steeped in pagan philosophy, political maneuvering, and is pure rebellion against The Most High.

However, today, the rumblings of a powerful awakening echoes amongst men. We are finally stripping off the flimsy rags of imposed shame. We are boldly reclaiming Yah’s original design for our lives. A design that positions polygyny not merely as permissible, but as a legitimate, lawful, and even necessary structure for fulfilling our mission, forging righteous households, and reaching our individual economic growth potential.

Now, how did we ever stumble into this twisted reality, where the very thought of a man honoring multiple wives under Yah's law draws side-eyes from the pulpit?

Brace yourselves brothers. This article is a swift, brutal walk through history.

1. The Roman Imperium: Where Freedom was Bottled

Back in the nascent Roman Empire, around 185 AD, legal marriage carried a strict monogamous tag. But let’s not be naive: this wasn't some spiritual epiphany in Rome. This was about keeping inheritances neat, bloodlines tidy, and avoiding high-society drama.

Roman men, meanwhile, had their pick of concubines, mistresses, and slaves. Don't let the clean marble statues bleach your perception of reality back then. Male sexuality, far from being sanctified, was simply re-routed to immorality. Its natural, Yah-given breadth was choked in the public square, only to find unregulated release in the dark shadows, of Prostitutes and orgies.

The iron fist truly clenched in 321 AD when Emperor Constantine (yes, that Constantine), the so-called "Christianizer" of Rome, dropped an edict forbidding even “concubines” for being legally covered by a already married man.

And Boom.

For the first time, the state jammed Prescriptive Monogamy down everyone's throats as a legal obligation.

And make no mistake, this wasn't fuelled by divine revelation. Constantine was a calculating Roman politician who saw "Christianity" as a pliable tool to shackle an empire. He took the living Scriptures and started what eventually blended them with the pagan traditions, chalice of Greco-Roman philosophy, and a mutated religion that no longer followed Torah laws and criminalized what Yah never did…

Later, Emperor Justinian’s Corpus Juris Civilis codified this ban into granite law, and just like that, polygyny was officially legally suffocated in the West. The Roman empire puffed out its chest, calling it “civilized.”

Yah, our Father, saw it for what it was: an addition to His perfect Word, His Torah. This new Prescriptive Monogamy Only era marked the initial criminalization and enforced insulation of male sexuality, binding it by Caesar's law, and not Creator's design and an intent breeding of hypocrisy.

2. Ascetic Theologians: The Spirit’s Chokehold

Then came the "Church Fathers.” Tertullian, Augustine, Jerome, all cloistered monks who viewed natural male sexual desire as a festering disease and women as walking sin traps. These were the architects who declared monogamy "holy," yet insanely crowned celibacy as "holier."

Does that sound like anything Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob understood? No!  It’s none other than pagan demonic poison. Hypocritically, this didn't stop the sexual assault on young boys, nor the rise of homosexual activities behind church doors. But I digress.

These demonically influenced, Catholic Monks, viciously branded polygynous marriage as “carnal,” “animalistic,” fit only for the “lower class.” Men were guilt-tripped, bullied, and spiritually castrated, commanded to restrain themselves and marry “one wife only,” and then, only if they absolutely had to. This wasn't about righteous living. This was about shackling men in spiritual sexual chains, then slapping a "sanctified" label on their captivity.

By the 4th century, these insidious ideas morphed into both state law and Theological dogma. The nascent church didn't just frown upon biblical marriage models; they outlawed them.

They then gaslighted the masses, proclaiming the Torah "old" and "done away with.” Then they packaged up Marriage, wrapped it with the very doctrines of demons Paul warned us about, officially institutionalised lawlessness, and called it "Christianity.”

This was the sad beginnings of the spiritual and intellectual attack on male sexuality. Twisting our natural, powerful sex drives into something to be ashamed of, constantly apologizing for, feared, suppressed, and diverted into sanctioned taboo, often immoral, channels.

3. Colonialism: Exporting the Shackles

Fast forward to the Age of "Discovery." European colonizers clutching their new bastardized "biblical" form of monogamy, unleashed it across the globe.

African, Asian, and Indigenous cultures, economically thriving under Yah-ordained polygynous structures, were summarily slapped with the labels “barbaric” and “uncivilized.” Missionaries arrived with crosses in one hand, court orders in the other, preaching that plural marriage was a grave sin—even as the Bible they claimed to follow consistently affirmed it. The more they outlawed Polygyny the poorer and less powerful these countries become.

This wasn't evangelism. This was Western empire-building, painted with a flimsy halo. And it worked. Entire peoples were forcibly detached from Yah’s natural, fruitful structures, shoved into a Western system that prized superficial optics and centralized control over authentic fruitfulness and divine order. Male sexuality, once openly expressed within various lawful marriage forms, was violently re-insulated, criminalized, and culturally shamed into a foreign mold.

 4. Victorian Morality & the Protestant Illusion

Then came the 18th and 19th centuries: Protestant revivalism fused with Victorian prim-and-proper culture. Suddenly, everything revolved around “romantic monogamy.” The ideal "good man" was expected to dote on one woman, buy her a neat little house, and raise 2.5 children, all while hiding his masculinity under suspenders and suppressing his desire for plurality.

Around that time we got the protestants removing the Apocrypha out of the Bible, which clearly reinforced the idea of male headship and Polygyny. They say these books are not Cannon, and discourage us from reading them, but it is clear as to the hidden agenda behind all this. We also have the deliberate English mis-translations of the Bible that intentionally favor prescriptive Monogamy over Polygyny.

Behind the carefully drawn curtains of Prescriptive Monogamy, however, adultery, mistresses, and rampant prostitution runs wild. Public morality, a flimsy front, demanded that Prescriptive Monogamy be the only acceptable option.

Polygyny? That was for savage cults and heathens.

Yet, somehow, King David, a polygamist, still got a pass in Sunday School while living an ongoing lifestyle of what they deemed sinful. This whole era perfected the illusion of insulated male sexuality, forcing male desire into a depressing divided existence: publicly constrained by hypocritical rules and privately indulged in illicit ways.

5. Feminism & the "Liberation" Con

The 1960s roared in, and feminism, cloaked like a wolf in lipstick, promised "freedom" for women—freedom from husbands, freedom from children and freedom from righteous male leadership. But here's the insidious twist: Prescriptive Monogamy didn't die. It was just weaponized.

Why? Because in a prescriptive monogamous system, women control the access, and men are effectively put on a short, emasculating leash. Their sexual hunger is only sinfully fed by the abundance of junk food: Prostitutes, Pornography, Masturbation and Fornicating. Promoted as the only alternative sexual release a man can get outside of Monogamy.

Yet, even with that restriction, all of these methods are shamefully taboo.

Since then, male testosterone levels are plummeting and prostate cancer is on the rise. Finally scientists are saying openly that for a man to be at optimal health, he needs 21 ejaculations a month. Yet, the feminist still insists on restricting men from getting regular sex through Polygyny, because they truly don’t care about a mans vitality and health.

Feminism didn't dismantle Prescriptive Monogamy.

No, it re-engineered it as a tool of control over men. Legal systems began overtly rewarding wives with alimony, custody, and unprecedented leverage over men. Meanwhile, men were savagely shamed for merely desiring multiple wives. A man’s desire for Polygyny, rooted deep in Scripture, and biology, is still, to this day, shamed.

Sexual “liberation” made fornication cool, applauded casual sex but demonized biblical marriage. The translation is chillingly clear: sleep around, literally act like a pervert, pimp out women, but never build a multi-woman household under Yah’s s law. However, “Spinning Plates“ is cool.

So, Where Do We Stand Today?

We are still entrenched in a culture where:

Adultery is a national pastime.

Serial monogamy is cheered as "personal growth."

"Baby mamas" tragically outnumber lawful wives.

And yet, righteous men, aspiring to lead multiple women under Yah’s approved Polygyny, are still vilified as lustful monsters.

But the tide, brothers, is turning.

Men are waking up, tearing through the layers of deceit. Torah-observant men are grabbing The Bible, ripping off the filters of Western theology, and seeing the undeniable truth: Yah never forbade polygyny. He wisely regulated it.

And now, in these very last days, as Paul’s prophecy in 1 Timothy 4:1-4 explodes into glaring clarity, we are finally exposing the very doctrines of demons that held us captive.

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.” (1 Timothy 4:1-4, ESV)

This "forbidding marriage" extends far beyond mere celibacy; it encompasses the active suppression and criminalization of Biblical Polygyny. A legitimate form of marriage.

The doctrines of demons sought to  enslave, control, and ultimately corrupt male sexuality is being exposed. It’s been a diabolical plan to undermine masculine headship, from creation. Polygyny and Male Sexuality go hand in Hand.

Final Proclamation: Cease Seeking Permission

If you are a man of Yah, stop apologizing for desiring what Yah permits. Stop allowing Western guilt to amputate your Yah-given legacy. Your household structure must be forged on the bedrock of Scripture, not cobbled together from Caesar’s decaying scraps. Build your house on the foundation of Torah.

This is not about base lust. This is about legacy. This is about leadership, covering more women and Fatherless children, taking care of the widows….True Religion.

This is about audaciously building up Yah’s Kingdom the Abrahamic way. Not in the Roman compromised, demonic paganistic emasculated way.

Let the feminists shriek their fits. We build anyway.
