“Predestination & Polygyny: Yah’s Original Blueprint for Kingdom Building”

Brothers let’s reason together for a moment. I know some of you out there are catching heat for even entertaining the idea that polygyny could be righteous. But I want to give you a whole different angle to stand on. See, this isn’t just about “what Yah allowed after the Fall.” This is about what Yah predestined before Adam ever sinned. Many opponents to Biblical polygyny often argue that it only began after the fall and because of sin; and somehow not Yah’s original intended design for marriage. However, I’m talking about polygyny is a marriage model that Yah actually used from the jump. For it, my friends, is the perfect Kingdom-building structure which is often misunderstood because the Genesis account does not explicitly reveal this. Yet we often have heard it taught to be some sort of workaround for a man’s lust, but when we go back to the Word, in its entirety—when we follow the spiritual breadcrumbs—we otherwise see polygyny was Yah’s original blueprint laid out for us before the foundation of the world.
What Is Predestination?
Predestination means that something was pre-determined, pre-planned, and foreordained or chosen by Yah—before time began. In Scripture, we see this word used often in connection with salvation and Yah's redemptive plan in such passages that read:
“According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”—Ephesians 1:4 (KJV)
“The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”—Revelation 13:8
These verses tell us that Yah’s plan didn’t start after Adam sinned. He had it all laid out before the foundation of the world—which means the design for salvation, the family, and the Kingdom was already complete in His mind before sin even showed up on the scene.
What Is Polygyny?
Polygyny is a marriage structure where one man is married to more than one woman. In Scripture, this model is not only permitted—it is used by many righteous men of Yah, including Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Gideon, David, and even Yah Himself, as well as Yeshua Himself, metaphorically (Isaiah 54:5; 62:5; Jeremiah 2:1-3; 8:1-10, 14; 31:31-32; Ezekiel 16:8; 23:1–4; Hosea 3:1; Matthew 25:1-13; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 21:2&9).
Yet some still argue: “Yah made one woman for Adam. That proves monogamy is the only righteous model.”
But that argument falls apart when we bring in the truth of predestination.

The Core Argument: 10 Facts Showing That Polygyny Was Predestined Before Sin
Let’s look at some powerful, logical links between predestination and polygyny:
1. The 12 Tribes Were Foreordained Before Creation
The book of Revelation reads,
“And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.”—Revelation 21:12
The New Jerusalem—the eternal dwelling place of Yah’s people—has 12 gates, each one named after a tribe that came from polygyny. We can know this because Jacob (Israel) had four wives—Leah, Rachel, Bilhah, and Zilpah—and fathered the 12 patriarchs through those unions (Genesis 33:1-7 & Ruth 4:11).
Those 12 sons weren’t a coincidence. They were part of the Kingdom's foundation.
If the New Jerusalem was already designed before the foundation of the world (Rev. 21:14), then so were the 12 tribes. That means Yah had already planned for Jacob to marry four women and produce a legacy through polygyny. This is also why Yah makes it known that decrees these things long before they unfold (Isaiah 46:9-10).
2. Yah Uses Polygyny to Symbolize His Covenant
“Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother... and they were Mine.”—Ezekiel 23:1–4
Once again, Yah uses the metaphor of a polygynous relationship to describe His own relationship with both Israel and Judah. He doesn't compare Himself to a husband with one wife—He compares Himself to a man with two wives, each representing a nation in covenant with Him.
Why would Yah use polygyny as a holy metaphor if it somehow unholy?
3. The Lamb Was Slain Before the Foundation of the World
This is the linchpin:
“The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”—Revelation 13:8
If the death and resurrection of Messiah was already planned before Adam even sinned, then so was the family structure through which The Messiah and Yah’s people would be born through. This means, folks, that the 12 tribes of Israel were born through polygyny—that they were already in Yah’s mind before the garden was created in Genesis 2.
This, my friends, destroys the claim that polygyny only came after sin.
4. Yah Could Have Chosen Monogamy for the Patriarchs—But He Didn’t
Yah hand-picked the patriarchs through whom His eternal covenant would flow. He could have made Abraham, Jacob, and David monogamous if monogamy were "holier." Instead, He blessed these men and continued His Kingdom legacy through multiple wives:
“And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins.”—Genesis 35:11
(Spoken to Jacob after he had multiple wives and children by all of them)
Now that is a stamp of divine approval—not tolerance.
5. Yah’s Vision Is Always About Multiplication
“Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”—Genesis 1:28
Yah’s first command to mankind was not “be romantic”—it was be fruitful and multiply. Polygyny is a multiplication model, especially in a fallen world with war, widowhood, and imbalanced gender ratios. It creates family units, tribal strength, and generational continuity.
That’s why Yah used it before the Law, under the Law, and in prophecy. In fact, Isaiah 4:1 tells us that in the times of The Messiah’s redemption that polygyny, prophetically, will be the logical solution for women who will be desperately unmarried (Isaiah 4:1-6).
Conclusion: Polygyny Was Predestined—And It Is Certainly Yah’s Perfect Plan for His Kingdom
The family structure Yah used to build His eternal city, His covenant nation, and even to symbolize His own relationship with His people was not monogamy—it was polygyny.
To say polygyny was a result of sin is to ignore the fact that:
The Lamb was slain before sin,
The 12 tribes were chosen before sin,
The New Jerusalem was named before sin,
And Jacob's polygynous house was at the center of it all.
Polygyny wasn’t Yah’s reaction. It was His original design to establish order, growth, and covenantal family from the very beginning. Before the earth, my friends, was even made.
This was His plan before Adam even took a bite.
A Word to my Brothers
Brothers, don’t just take my word for it—search the Scriptures for yourselves. Yah’s truth doesn’t buckle under pressure, and it sure doesn’t need man’s approval. If this is new to you, or if it’s causing tension in your walk, I encourage you to do what 2 Timothy 2:15 commands:
“Study to show thyself approved unto Elohim, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
This walk is for men who want to build—not for those who want to blend in. Yah is restoring righteous order, and that includes the family structure He predestined for His Kingdom. Let’s be men of understanding, not emotion and certainly not boxed into what other men’s traditions and false interpretations. Let’s lead with the Word, not opinion. The only way to that is for men to study to know for themselves.
Stand firm. Digg deep. And build like you were born to.
